| The quartet, who have been “Quartet-in-Residence” at the University of Warwick since 1977, will be making a very welcome return visit to Stansted, their having already played here in 2006. They have performed and broadcast extensively throughout this country, the USA and Western Europe. They have toured India, the Middle and Far East, South America and Australia. On 6th March they will be performing the Haydn Quartet in Eb Op 33 No 2 “The Joke”; the Shostakovitch Quartet in D Op 83 No 4; and the Mendelssohn Quartet in E minor Op 44 No 2. All the ingredients are in place for what should be a very enjoyable evening’s music. |
