MUCH HADHAM VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT

We are pleased to report on another successful year for the Village Hall – bookings were at a good level during 2007 and income from them continues to pay for the day-to-day running of the Hall.

The re-furbishment programme is still on-going with work currently being carried out on the Ladies & Disabled Toilets and the café/bar area in the main hall. These works are anticipated to be completed shortly.

We are very grateful for funds received from the Much Hadham Recreation Trust, East Herts District Council and the Parish Council together with the contributions from the 200 Club and other fund-raising events during the year. Work towards maintaining and improving the standard of the Hall could not have gone ahead without this input – thanks go to everyone who supports the Village Hall.

Our warm thanks go to Ken, Wendy and Melanie Duncan who continued their hard work notwithstanding their tragic loss.

Brian Norman has decided to take a well-earned rest after many years of serving as an Elected Member of the Committee – we thank him for his hard work and support. This means that there are now 2 vacancies for Elected Members – if anyone is interested in joining the Committee, please contact either Chris Prout, Chairman, on 844953 or Mary Byrne, Secretary, on 843911.
