The meeting was attended by eight Parish Councillors,  Hertfordshire County Councillor Mrs M Bayes and partly by East Herts District Councillor M Carver.

Apologies Councillor Williams

Planning - A meeting is to be arranged with the District Planning Committee to discuss discrepancies between parish council recommendations and recent planning decisions.

Street Lighting - Following recent trials, a decision on the next phase of street lighting on Windmill Way will be taken early next year

Stop Stansted Expansion -  On 15th October 2007, Martin Dillon and three residents spoke at the Stansted Enquiry. For further details see Article published on this website on 30th October 2007.

Stop Harlow North – a continuing campaign has been mounted against threatened development.    An impending decision is expected shortly after Christmas.  There is to be a wide distribution of a leaflet throughout the Parish costing approximately £7,500.   MH Parish Council to consider a £300 donation at the next meeting.

Bench refurbishment - The Green Tye Shooting Club has kindly offered to refurbish the bench at the end of Station Road.

Bus route - The No 4 bus service from Perry Green to Bishop’s Stortford is about to cease operation. Mike Carver confirmed that the District Council is working on the possibility of a Community Bus to replace the service.

Parish Plan - A questionnaire will shortly be circulated around the Parish in relation to a Parish Plan. Questions will also be asked regarding a possible refurbishment of the playground.  Some feel there is not enough equipment for older children. The safety of the roundabout is a concern.

Highways - The “Much Hadham” sign on the B1004 (Winding Hill) is included in the Hertfordshire Highways list and it is assumed that this will be replaced.

Footways – removal of a large branch overhanging the footway between the High Street and the ford is still awaited.
