Hi Laurence,
I am researching those men from hadham who lost their lives during the first world war, and I have been researching Harold William Piggott, known as William Piggott on the 1901 census by his father. H.W Piggott's father had moved to Woodford by the end of the war with his second wife Kate, and Harold died there in 1921. it may have been from a war related wound as he is named on a plaque at hadham memorial, and also on Barnet mamorial. Harold was awarded the M.M in 1916. His brother George Edwin(edward)pigott was also killed. Hope this is of help, and if you have any other info on these guys I would like to hear about it for my research. Richard Maddams
