Hello Much Hadham People, I currently live in Hertford but have been interested in and am on the verge of (providing my offer is accepted) buying a house on the High Street called Hunters Cottage.

The estate agents know nothing about the property or the history of it, so any snippets of information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated no matter how trivial you think it might be!

p.s. what are the pubs like? me and my partner are real ale fanatics and were hoping that at least one of the public houses in the high street might be a free house.

I still know nothing of the history of Hunters Cottage, but I have bought the house anyway Will be moving in on Friday 8th.......please do come by and have a chat!

Tell me how its going since you moved to Much Hadman, we are looking to buy out your where but know nothing about the area. Have you been able to settle down and what about the "airport" and night noise.I'd love to know your views.

Hi Deb,

It's a lovely place to live, the people are friendly and The Bull is a great place to drink and eat. Personally it was a bit of a culture shock moving from Hertford town centre to Much Hadham, but if me and my partner ever feel the need to venture away from the village (which is not too often), we catch a bus into Bishops Stortford and then taxi it back. The aeroplanes do not bother us much, they dont seem to go over at night and during the day you only notice when you are sitting in your garden. They are not too frequent either, I believe they work on some kind of air path cycle so as not to use the same path all the time. There are some great places to walk, and if you enjoy art then I would urge you to visit the Henry Moore Foundation.

I feel very privilaged to live in Much Hadham and I dont think I will ever tire of smiling everytime I arrive home from work or the shops

Let me know when you have moved in, then I can welcome you into the village by buying you a beer at The Bull.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like you have settled in and village life suits both of you. I believe the life_style_ you describe is right up our street, only time will tell.

I'll let you know how we get on and hopefully we'll be able to take you up on a beer in the "Bull'.
