Looking for any information, especially a photograph, of William Stapleton Olney. He was, according to 1881/91 censuses, a certificated schoolmaster living in Tower Hill, Great Hadham, with wife Elizabeth. Olney had been one of the very first pupil teachers at the Boys British School in Hitchin in 1847, and the only one of 6 who became a master. He is a special part of our history. Are there any records in church or school?
