I have happily blundered into this board while researching ancestry.
I would much appreciate it if anyone could contact me about the following. If anyone knows any of the village elders, they may recall.
My grandmother was Susan Auger, born about 1898. She married George Alfred Fraser, a farm labourer, then serving in the army, on 25 Movember 1916. Their address is given as Kettle Green, Much Hadham, Herts. They were both believed to be working on a farm, either Adam's Farm, or a farm run by a family of Daintree. George was probably in the Royal Field Artillery at the time.
My father, Edward Fraser, was born in 1920, at Kettle Green, Much Hadham. He later joined the royal Navy.
I am particularly interested in any information regarding George Alfred Fraser, as he went missing shortly after my father's birth. Family history has it that he survived the war, but his history is unknown.
Thanks in advance.
Steve
